Community SOGIE 101 Training
It's almost Pride Month! Whether you're at the start of your journey to become an LGBTQIA+ ally or would just like to brush up on your terminology, we invite you to join us for this FREE community training!
Join us for SOGIE 101 on Tuesday, June 8 from 6-8PM on Zoom. SOGIE stands for Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity/Expression and can sometimes be interpreted as LGBTQ+ 101. We are excited to be co-hosting this training with our partners at Outlet of Adolescent Counseling Services.
In this training we cover the basic terminology for sex, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation through engaging videos, matching games, and polls. We also touch on extended topics like gender-neutral language, pronouns, and cultural humility. After every training, we provide follow-up resources either highlighted in or similar to the content in our training.
Accessibility: The workshop will be in English via Zoom; closed captioning can be provided.

Polyamory Peer Power (18+): Molly Roden Winter talks about her book: More, A Memoir of Open Marriage
Polyamory Peer Power (18+): Molly Roden Winter talks about her book: More, A Memoir of Open Marriage
TOPIC: Molly Roden Winter talks about her book: More, A Memoir of Open Marriage
Description:
Hey folks! It's almost time for the Polyamory Peer Power meeting with the San Mateo County Pride Center! This is a social and discussion group for polyamorous/open/RA/poly-friendly/poly-curious/etc folks (18+) in San Mateo County (and beyond).
Molly Roden Winter was a mother of small children with a husband, Stewart, who often worked late. One night when Stewart missed the kids’ bedtime—again—she stormed out of the house to clear her head. At a bar, she met Matt, a flirtatious younger man. When Molly told her husband that Matt had asked her out, she was surprised that Stewart encouraged her to accept.
So began Molly’s unexpected open marriage and, with it, a life-changing journey of self-discovery.
Molly shares her experiences in More, A Memoir of Open Marriage. It is an electric debut that offers both steamy fun and poignant reflections on motherhood, daughterhood, marriage, and self-fulfillment. With warmth, humor, and style, Molly Roden Winter delivers an unputdownable journey of a woman becoming her most authentic self.
Join us as she shares more about her book and her experiences.
