We at the San Mateo County Pride Center are thrilled to launch our new website!  We are excited to now have even more ways to reach and connect with LGBTQ+ community. You are invited to take some time to browse our website to learn more about the Pride Center’s history, ongoing services and upcoming programs.
Here are five things you can do on our site:
1) Sign up for our Newsletter
We email monthly newsletters full of the latest updates on Pride Center programs, events and calls to action.  You can stay informed and sign up by clicking the “Subscribe to our Newsletter†button on the bottom right of each page, or by utilizing the drop down menu in our News section.
2) Check out our Calendar of Events
As a new community center, our programs and services are constantly evolving to meet the needs of our diverse communities. View the Pride Center calendar on the homepage or under the Events tab and search for upcoming events, groups, and workshops. Some of our fabulous February offerings have included our second Intergenerational Dinner, Fitness Bootcamp Sundays, a FREE Gender Name Change Clinic, various peer groups, a Teen Safer Sex Workshop, and a friday night mixer at Qube.
3) Learn about our Programs
The Pride Center provides a combination of wellness and support services, educational workshops, and social events and groups. We continue to offer both sliding scale and Medi-Cal mental health counseling services, as well as Wednesday Drop-In hours with our Case Manager. While we serve all ages, we also have both youth and older adult programs to build community. Click on the “Programs†tab of our main navigation menu and find out more.
4) Connect to Resources
If you or someone you know is in crisis, click here to find out what steps you can take to intervene and utilize the local and national resources our Case Manager has composed on the “Crisis Intervention†page under our “Programs†tab. If you are looking for educational resources -we offer gender and sexual orientation diversity trainings, a glossary, an LGBTQ library, job network and more –see the “Resources†section.
5) Get involved
There are many ways to get involved: share your voice, propose an event/workshop/service, help us obtain wishlist items, and donate to help sustain the Pride Center. If you are interested volunteering with us -attend our upcoming Volunteer Orientation February 22nd from 6:30pm-8:00pm.
We would love to hear from you! Please email info@sanmateopride with any feedback, suggestions, or to find out more.
