Dear San Mateo County LGBTQIA+ Community:
We invite you to fill out this anonymous survey on how COVID-19 has impacted you as a member of our LGBTQIA+ community. This year we have been honored to witness your struggles and resiliency, listen to your stories, and support you in the best ways that we can. The Pride Center is aware of the need for data to be collected about how COVID-19 is impacting you, and although we know your stories, statistics are needed to access the resources to better support you during these challenging times. Therefore, we created this survey to better understand how COVID-19 has impacted LGBTQIA+ people currently living in San Mateo County. We know that the COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted our communities, but we don’t know the extent of this impact. Our hope is to use this information to identify the ongoing needs within our communities to make your voices heard during these times of uncertainty.
The following questionnaire should take less than 5 minutes to complete and the results will have a lasting impact on policy and resource allocation. We ask for community support and assistance to disseminate this survey; please forward this link as appropriate. The Pride Center would also like to acknowledge the limitations of the survey in its reach and accessibility and apologize to those in our community this survey format excludes. We continue to explore ways to address these challenges.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to complete this. Your time matters and so do you.
